pa.tax is an independent educational resource. We do not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. We do, however, earn revenue in a few ways, and we want every visitor to understand them before relying on anything you find here.
Directory referrals
When you submit the referral form on our PA tax professionals directory, we may forward your information to a Pennsylvania-licensed CPA, attorney, or enrolled agent. If you engage that professional, pa.tax may receive a referral fee. We verify every listed professional's PA license with the relevant state board before publishing.
A referral is not an endorsement. You are responsible for independently verifying any professional's credentials and signing your own engagement letter.
Sponsored listings
Some directory listings are sponsored, meaning the professional paid a fee to be featured. Sponsored listings carry a clear Sponsored badge in both the directory page and the profile page. The same credential-verification rules apply to sponsored and organic listings; we do not list professionals who fail PA license verification regardless of sponsorship.
Information products
We publish paid resources — checklists, templates, reference packets — focused on Pennsylvania tax topics. Each one is educational reference material based on publicly available information and our editorial work. Products do not establish an attorney-client or CPA-client relationship.
Payment is processed by an external checkout provider. Refunds are honored per the checkout provider's policy stated on each product page.
Display advertising
pa.tax may display advertising from third-party ad networks including Google AdSense. Ad placements are kept conservative — one in-content ad per article at most — and are labeled or visually distinct from editorial content per the ad network's policies. We do not control the specific creatives served and an ad's appearance on pa.tax is not an endorsement.
Editorial independence
Compensation does not influence the educational content on this site. We do not accept payment to alter, soften, or remove educational guidance. If you spot content that looks like it conflicts with this policy, email us at hello@pa.tax— we'd like to know.
How to verify a Pennsylvania professional
